1 - Welcome to the Community Kitchen

What makes a kitchen a Community Kitchen? And what makes the Brighton Community Kitchen such a much-loved space within the city? With Jo Glazebook, the ktichen's manager, we introduce the Community Kitchen - Brighton's not-for-profit cookery school that teaches everyone to learn how to cook, learn new skills, and enjoy food together. We chat about how this model works, the power of food to inspire people in other areas of their lives, and most importantly - about the time a local drag queen shot a film in the kitchen.

Want to find out more about the Community Kitchen and attend a class yourself? Visit their website here. And visit the Food Partnership's directory here to find out more about the different cooking, gardening, and food projects you can get involved in across our city.
